  700 more businesses invest in Binh Phuoc Posted by VOV more
  Binh Phuoc has attracted nearly 700 businesses that have invested nearly US$388 million in the province since early this year, a year-on-year increase of more than 50 percent.  
  The provincial People's Committee said that more than 3,000 businesses with a combined investment capital of more than US$1,600 million are operating in the province.  
  To attract more investment, the province will focus on improving infrastructure in eight industrial zones and the Hoa Lu Border Economic Zone, a total area of more than 33,000ha.  
 
  HCM City's inbound FDI approaches $1.73b till mid-Nov Posted by VBN more
  Up to the middle of November 2011, there were 325 foreign invested projects being licensed with total registered capital of more than $1.727 billion (of which total charter capital amount accounted for $680.8 million) in HCM City. Inbound FDI to HCM City was poured into 51 projects worth $998.3 million under a form of joint venture, other 274 projects amounting to $729 million in 100 percent foreign invested form. Average investment capital for each project was about $5.3 million.  
  By investment partners, Singapore led among foreign investors in Vietnam with 57 projects worth $149.2 million, Korea with 50 worth $377.3 million, Hong Kong with 34 projects worth $48.4 million, Japan with 32 worth $91 million, US 21 and $5 million, Taiwan with 17 and $132.5 million, France with 11 and $1.5 million.

  Viet Nam expects to attract further investment from Spain in energy sector as well as in infrastructure projects that require a large amount of capital, according to an official from the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Nguyen Thi Bich Van, deputy head of the ministry's Foreign Investment Agency, said that capital for those sectors in the next five years would be around US$250 billion, with infrastructure accounting for $25billion.  
  Bilateral trade turnover between the two countries was $1.1 billion last year, and Spain is the seventh largest exporter of Viet Nam.As of October, Spain ranked 58th out of 93 foreign investors in Viet Nam, with 17 projects totalling a registered capital of more than $21 million.
