FaceMe News - CyberLink's People Tracker AI Video Analytics Solution Recognized with the 2025 Taiwan Excellence Award for Pioneering Next-Gen Security
Taipei, TAIWAN – Nov. 27, 2024 – CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a global leader in AI and facial recognition technologies, announced that its People Tracker AI video analytics solution has been awarded the 2025 Taiwan Excellence Award. Selected from thousands of competing products, this recognition highlights CyberLink's exceptional leadership in AI research and its commitment to delivering innovative and practical security technologies.

Building upon CyberLink’s four consecutive years of Taiwan Excellence Award recognition for its AI facial recognition engine, FaceMe®, People Tracker has earned the award during its debut year for its powerful AI computer vision-based image recognition and video analysis capabilities. People Tracker effectively addresses the challenges of manual video surveillance by significantly speeding up investigations and video searches, while greatly enhancing overall security efficiency. Featuring a simple and intuitive user interface, People Tracker allows users to quickly locate specific individuals, and seamlessly integrates with existing security systems, reducing implementation costs.

Designed to analyze real-time video streams or recorded footage, People Tracker can quickly locate and accurately track movement patterns of individuals based on search queries for physical characteristics such as gender, age, clothing color, body shape and accessories (hats, bags). A standout feature of this technology is that it does not rely only on facial recognition, making it particularly useful in scenarios where facial capture is not possible, or in restricted environments.

Additionally, People Tracker integrates seamlessly with CyberLink’s FaceMe Security, a facial recognition solution designed for surveillance and access control. Together, they create a comprehensive smart security environment, enhancing safety and efficiency across varied locations such as office buildings, factories, shopping malls, airports, and sports stadiums. This integration not only significantly improves security operations, but also helps reduce labor costs associated with finding people of interest.

“The receipt of the Taiwan Excellence Award for People Tracker confirms our dedication to product quality and commitment,” said Mei Guu, President of CyberLink Business Unit 2. “We continuously enhance the accuracy and precision of facial recognition while pushing the boundaries of AI applications. Our goal is to deliver the most innovative and valuable security solutions in the market while being accessible to a broad range of industries.”
